Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper

Location: Merrillville, IN
Part Time Position
Pink Ribbon Society, Inc. is dedicated to supporting the men and women of our community whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to help
manage daily operations and financial record-keeping.
Position Summary
This dual-role position provides administrative support and bookkeeping services to ensure
smooth operations. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable balancing office tasks with financial responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
Administrative:
• Serve as first point of contact for calls, emails, and visitors
• Manage schedules, meetings, and correspondence
• Maintain office supplies and files
• Provide general support for events, projects, and staff
Bookkeeping:
• Record and reconcile financial transactions
• Process accounts payable/receivable and payroll
• Prepare financial reports and support budget tracking
• Assist with year-end reporting and audits
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial requirements
Qualifications
• Experience in office administration and bookkeeping
• Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar) and MS Office
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
